- Description
- -----------
-
- E1M1 has always been good for deathmatch. This should be even better! All
- of the textures are changed, with different areas being textured in
- different styles. There's a lot of secrets, all of which you can find
- using an editor, but why spoil the fun? :-)
- The most significant addition is the teleporter system; the level is
- divided into six sections, each containing a teleporter. These will take
- you to a central teleporter room, from which you can teleport to any other
- section. This allows you to get around the level very quickly, and with 4
- players provides great possibilities for 'telefragging'. The teleporter in
- the single-player start section may be difficult to find; just use your
- eyes! There's also another reason for dividing the level into sections...
-
- To find all of the secrets go down about a page... but PLEASE don't do
- this unless you're really stuck!
-
- Enjoy!

- SPOILERS
- --------
-
- SECTION 1 : THE START (BROWN DIRT MOTIF)
- * The windows of the tower have been 'opened', allowing you to get out. To
- get back up into the tower from the outside area, press on the lift in the
- front window. This is important to know because the teleporter to this
- section arrives here. There is also a deathmatch start in exactly the same
- place as the teleporter exit, so it you're lucky you may be able to
- 'telefrag' an opponent.
- + The teleporter out of this section is found on one of the columns near
- the stairs. To get to it, 'jump' from the floor of the tower by running
- off it. If you've played DOOM II, you'll know how to do this. If you've
- completed DOOM, you'll be an expert at it.
- * Behind the door where you normally start is a secret room. On the left
- of this room is a cage containing a monster(s). On the right there is a
- grille on the wall. Press on this to open a pitch-black room full of
- weapons. The door can only be opened this way, but you can open it from
- the inside if it closes on you. Get the BFG9000 and kill the monster(s) in
- the cage.
- * At the back of the pitch-black room is a one-way secret passage to the
- central teleporter room.
- * Shoot the grille to make a bank of switches appear at the back of the
- room. The middle switch (green) causes a door to open for a short time
- between the start area and the outside area (like in the Ultimate DOOM).
- When you walk out of the secret room the switches will sink again.
- * The red left-hand switch will cause doors to close between all of the
- sections. It closes the windows and blocks secret passages as well, which
- makes the teleporters the ONLY way around the level :-). The right-hand
- switch opens these doors again.
- * In the main start room there is a switch between the two windows which
- doesn't seem to do anything...
-
- SECTION 2 : THE COMPUTER ROOM (E2M2 STYLE CEMENT MOTIF)
- No secrets.
- + The teleporter is to the right of the north door, next to a computer
- panel.
-
- SECTION 3 : THE SLIME ROOM (GENERALLY WEIRD MOTIF - WATER/SP-ROCK)
- * You can get to the hidden passage in the usual way. It now contains lots
- of weapons.
- * The imp platform can be permanently lowered by the usual trigger in the
- exit room, but when it is raised you can lower it like a lift by pressing
- on it. It will rise again after a few seconds.
- + The teleporter is in the water and you can see it very easily.
- * The secret passage to the outside is now marked as a door (everyone
- knows about it anyway...)
-
- SECTION 4 : THE EXIT ROOM (HELLISH MOTIF)
- + The teleporter is in the southwest corner.
- * The fences appear as fences from one side, but appear as solid walls
- from the other side! :-)
- * The exit can only be opened co-operatively. One player must press a
- switch at the start (the one which doesn't seem to do anything) to open
- the exit door. The door closes after five seconds, so another player must
- be there to enter when it opens. The exit door can be opened from inside.
- You can't get trapped in the exit.
-
- SECTION 5 : OUTSIDE (STONE MOTIF)
- + The teleporter is to the south of the slime pit
- * If you walk down the steel corridor and open the door, you will find a
- soul sphere. Press on the right (north) wall to close a hidden door
- behind you. This door can only be opened by pressing on the left (south)
- wall, which gives you time to collect the soul sphere twice without being
- killed.
- * If you manage to close the door on yourself, there is a switch in the
- exit to open it again. See above to find out how to get to the exit.
-
- SECTION 6 : THE ARENA (GREY DIRT/GLOWING RED ROCK MOTIF)
- This area is only accessible by teleporter.
- + The teleporter is in the middle of the room, in a small lava pit.
- * On the west wall there is a secret passage to the tower in the start
- area. It is one-way and is locked when the section barriers are lowered.
